Posters and fliers from a UMR department or a registered student group may be posted on designated campus bulletin boards after it has been approved and date stamped by Student Services.

Posters are only to be displayed on bulletin boards labeled “campus events and activities” or “community events.” Given UMR’s buildings are leased spaces, distribution of posters, fliers and signage outside of UMR facilities is prohibited. Exceptions include directional signage.

Posters should not exceed the size of 11 x 17 inches.

  • Signs violating these policies may be removed without notice.
  • Messages of hate/bias will not be approved and/or will be removed.
  • Only one copy of a poster may be posted per location.
  • Posters may not be posted in a way in which they obscure others' posters.
  • Unauthorized postings will be investigated, materials will be removed and the offending individual/group may have their access to post materials restricted.
  • It is a violation of policy to deface or destroy posted materials.
  • The removal of posters by persons who are not staff is prohibited.
  • Distributing published materials in stairways, classrooms, offices, hallways, doorways, ramps, elevators or escalators is prohibited.
