Short-Term Leave | Seven to 20 consecutive weeks* | One-half to full salary (at unit discretion) and full benefits | May be requested after four years of service; an additional four years of service must be provided by the employee between each short-term leave |
Extended Leave | 21 to 48 consecutive weeks* | One-half salary and full benefits | May be requested after six years of service; an additional six years of service must be provided by an employee between each extended leave |
* All professional development leaves must fall within the term of the individual's appointment.
