Questions?

Please use the contact section in the governing policy.

The Environmental Health group of Health, Safety and Risk Management (HSRM) provides consulting and advice on practices to prevent pest infestation, and coordinates with Facilities Management and the University's pest control contractors to prevent and/or control pests.

Food Service Establishments

For pest infestations in food service facilities, UHS will require immediate resolution of conditions contributing to the pest problems. See also Administrative Procedure: Food Safety.

Building Construction

Demolition

A pest control plan is required as part of the schematic design construction documentation prior to demolition of any University property or facility. See the CPPM Project Delivery Manual (PDF).

New Facilities

All new facilities will be treated for pests in spaces not readily visible (air voids, door voids, etc.) prior to occupancy.
