Registering for the SETTA test

Times and locations for the SETTA test will be listed on the Center for Educational Innovation website. To register for the test, call 612-625-3048 or email [email protected].

There is no cost for the SETTA test.

Registering for the TOEFL iBT

Most prospective TAs will have taken the TOEFL iBT as part of their admission to the University. However, if students decide to take or retake the TOEFL iBT, they may do so at their own cost registering on the TOEFL website.

Registering for the IETLS test

If students decide to take or retake the IELTS, they may do so at their own cost registering on the IELTS website.

UMD

UMD nonnative English-speaking graduate and undergraduate Teaching Assistants (TAs) have the same testing options (i.e. SETTA, TOEFL iBT, IELTS) listed above.
