Questions?
Please use the contact section in the governing policy.
- Can departments purchase their own insurance policies?
- Individual units are prohibited from using University funds to purchase insurance policies. If a specific insurance policy is required for an activity, unit, or sponsored project, ORM will work with the unit to secure the needed insurance coverage.
- Is my personal property covered by the University?
- Employee and student personal property is not insured by the University’s insurance programs.
- What if I have a question about my health insurance?
- ORM does not manage employee benefits. Please visit Benefits - Office of Human Resources or contact the Office of Human Resources ([email protected]).
- Do I need to file a Property Loss Report Form for losses under the $10,000 deductible?
- You only need to complete a Property Loss Report Form when the loss is estimated to exceed $10,000. The deductible is inclusive of all departments who sustained a loss.
- What steps do I take after an auto accident while travelling as part of work duties?
- Please complete:
- Electronic First Report of Injury (EFROI) - if any employees sustained injuries
- Fleet Accident Report - if driving a University-owned vehicle
- Bodily Injury/Property Damage Incident Report - if a third party is involved
- I need to rent a vehicle for University business. Is my rental car covered under the University’s insurance?
- Fleet vehicles and rental cars booked through University-Wide Agreements include coverage when used for University business.
- Rentals from non-University contracted suppliers require additional insurance coverage. Refer to Renting or Leasing a Vehicle for University Business - Procedure for details.
