Policy Statement
Faculty, staff and students may publicize any campus meeting or event sponsored or co-sponsored by the University or by any officially recognized student organization on the "UMC Today" Web page - www.umcrookston.edu/today - and the UMC events calendar Web pages.
The e-communications manager will display meeting notices on the UMC Today page the day they are scheduled to take place when the request is submitted within the established timeline. Any late received or same day meeting notices will be posted as they are received. Events or performances open to the entire campus and/or external audiences may be listed for an entire week prior to the event.
Special Situations
University Relations will restate this policy each fall during organizational club advisor meetings.
Reason for Policy
This policy provides the requirements and process for successfully communicating authorized events via University of Minnesota, Crookston event calendar and Web page.

Procedures
Scheduling communications
Events or meeting of a club or organization
- The organizer must send details about the event (time, place, etc.) to the e-communications manager at least two days before the meeting so it can be added it to the calendar.
- A submit an event online form must be completed and submitted along with the request.
Events of potential interest to a wider audience outside of the immediate campus community (e.g., campus speaker or performer) that are open to the general campus community and/or the public
- The organizer should notify University Relations at least two weeks prior to the event so publicity to the local community and region can be arranged.
