Policy Statement

This policy governs the maximum number of credits that may be transferred in to meet certificate requirements offered at the University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC).

Transfer of Credits

  1. Course credits earned at other institutions may be transferred to UMC certificate plans subject to approval by the academic program. Such credits must have been earned at an accredited institution in the United States or at a non-U.S. institution judged by UMC to be comparable to a regionally accredited program in the United States.
  2. At least 50% of the course credits required for the certificate must be taken at UMC.
