Diplomas and Official Transcripts: Notification to Students of the Hold and Issuance after the Obligation is Met

Notification of the Hold to Students

Students whose diplomas and transcripts will not be issued will be notified in a number of ways:

  1. An e-mail will be sent to those students with financial obligations who have applied for graduation. This message will notify the students of their financial obligation and the withholding of their diploma and transcript. Contact information for Student Financial Collections will also be included. The Registrar will send this message each semester to those students who have applied for graduation.
  2. A hard copy letter will be sent to the students' permanent or diploma address if they have not resolved their obligation.

Colleges will receive information regarding which students in the college are having their diploma and transcript withheld via the report entitled, Discontinued Students Reports. A Degree Pending report is still in production.

Satisfaction of the Outstanding Obligation

If a decision is made to issue a diploma and transcript based on a student meeting the student's outstanding obligation, the Office of the Registrar will issue the diploma and transcript within one week of being notified of the decision.
