Obtaining Public Information

The University of Minnesota wants to make information easily available to the public. To do so, the University assembles reports of matters of high public interest and puts the reports on the Web for inexpensive and easy access. In addition, the University has several resources available to the public for answers to routine requests for information (e.g., employment verification, salary verification). Finally, for special requests for public information not available through these other resources, the University maintains a Records and Information Management Office dedicated to responding to requests for public information. All of these resources are described below. It is the University's intent to respond to all requests for public information in a timely and efficient manner.

B. Routine Requests for Public Information
